Some business goals accomplished by email marketing

There are three categories of objectives that can be achieved with the help of Email Marketing.

  • Growth or Conversion (selling your offerings)
  • Loyalty of Customer
  • Brand awareness

It is a great channel because email has a specific degree of confidence attached to it. There are so many people, for whom the inbox is an information space loaded with messages from their favorite brands.

Via contacting straight into a recipient’s email inbox, you have an unprecedented opportunity to be present in their everyday lives. This has more impact than posting on social media, where you cannot be certain about the possibilities of seeing your post at all.

Aside from intimacy, email has the inherent etiquette when it comes to delivering important messages. This would explain the importance of email for brands for choosing this channel even in this COVID-19 pandemic for delivering the right pieces of information.

Email plays a vital role in each stage of the buyer’s cycle: Starting with information and prospection stage, even during conversion, and also there is a role of email later on for customer retention.

One of the main advantages of email marketing is its scalability. This refers to the fact that emails can be deployed on a large scale to a wide number of recipients.

The state of email marketing in 2020

Email is a very old technology it isn’t new. In fact, email was one of the first channels for communicating digitally. But at around 50 years old, email marketing is now more extensively used than ever before.

Email has one of the excellent things that is it’s convenience/accessibility.

It lets you approach a large-scale range of diverse audiences, and this also includes those who are not surely comfortable using the internet. This presents it as the most common mainstream form of marketing.

Additionally, email marketing creates an opportunity or a chance to build long-lasting relationships with your leads and customers.

Here are some statistics:

  • Around 80% of Americans check their email at least once per day, with almost one-fourth of them check their personal email inbox many times a day. This report is according to a data of 2018 Inbox Report.
  • Buyers who buy merchandise by email, spend around 138 percent more than those who don’t receive offers through email.
  • More than 85% of business professionals prefer email as a communication channel.

By seeing these figures now it is not a surprising fact that email is recognized as the most effective channel in B2B marketing.

If you are not applying any email marketing strategy this means you are missing out on sales opportunities and the opportunity to strengthen your relations with customers. email marketing best practices email marketing best practices email marketing best practices

Now’s the time to get your email marketing up and running – and we’re going to explain to you how.

Getting started: choosing the right email marketing solution

Benefits of emailing marketing software

The first and foremost step towards performing an effective strategy of emailing is to choose the right emailing marketing solution.

Some reasons are here why it is worth spending in a dedicated email marketing service to create and send marketing emails.

Platforms of email marketing (like Mailcot) have the basic support or infrastructure in place to assure deliverability of email – This is something which you cannot guarantee while sending an email campaign with a regular Internet Service Provider like Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook.

Another use of an email service is that you can manage your email subscribers and also segment them into email lists.

And when you talk about designing marketing emails, you find that most of the email services usually offer ready-made templates and easy-to-use email editors. In a few clicks, you can create a newsletter very easily. No HTML coding skills or graphic designs are necessary.

You will also get the insights into email campaign performance. You’ will get to see which emails were most successful and learn more about your audience thanks to open rates, click-through rates, and reactivity insights.

Comparing different solutions

There are various distinctive emailing solutions to pick from. For choosing a relevant one for your business, some questions are here to consider:

  • The number of contacts you have now and in one year what is your planning to increase this number?
  • No. of emails you are planning to send?
  • What sorts of emails do you wish to send? Is it promotional, transactional, or both?
  • Your budget?

When you are comparing email services there is another factor you m just take into consideration, that is scalability and the associated costs. When you are up to starting your business of email marketing it is anticipated that your contact list will be short or small – but as the time goes on it will grow ideally.

With Mailcot, you will only pay for the number of email sents – not the number of contacts stored.

There are different types of marketing emails

Promotional emails

This type of email is sent as and when it is needed, in line with the of your business.

Newsletters present news that is associated with your business. Such as your new breakthroughs reached, product capabilities, or for highlighting a product use case. It is a tendency to stay at the forefront of your connections’ minds and inspire them to engage with you more.

Email campaigns are highly focused on marketing and sales. A campaign could consist of 3 to10 emails sent over many days or weeks. These types of emails are sent with a particular purpose in mind – be it to promote some exclusive offers, boost the downloading of a white paper, or to sign up for a webinar.

Automated emails

Automated emails save a lot of time and do miracles for fostering customer relationships.

It is as simpler as a welcome email sent to a fresh newsletter signup or a personalized email based on the buyer’s behavior or existing knowledge or information.

The special thing about automated emails is that nobody has had to present there physically to hit the send button.

Mailcot email automation feature lets you set up automated emails that are sent out in answer to a specific ‘trigger’ event that’s pre-defined by you.

Segmentation means parting down your email list and creating more petite sub-lists of contacts those who have something in common.

For instance, age, geographic location, lead score, first-time purchase, etc.

This enables you to maintain proposing content that is both relevant and personalized for each person on your mailing list.

Optimize your deliverability

Email deliverability basically means the ability of an email to land in a subscriber’s inbox. For marketers this is an important concept because it shows that emails have rightly reached their destination, rather than stopping up in the junk folder where they are improbable to be read.

This depends on technical and behavioral factors. For situation, the quality affects your deliverability.

Best Marketing Automation India

The Marketing Automation India story is yet in its initial steps. Most famous views globally still imply that there is less than 10% approval of marketing software platforms also when you join up the customer part of all primary providers.

Globally the Marketing Automation software market will be worth $7.63 Billion by 2025 as per estimates by various researches. The market is supposed to increase between 2016 to 2025 with India and China witnessing the tremendous growth in the customer base. As per estimates, the size of India market alone is over USD 500 million.

Story- Marketing Automation India

 marketing automation india

Marketing Automation India as the name sounds somewhat amorphous for a whole industry. The marketing automation market in India also started with lead generation and nurturing technologies gradually providing a wide array of analytics and social media management capabilities.

By the time the marketing automation wave hit the country, entrepreneurs in India had realized that they can’t understand the approach of building an “all you ever need” package for marketers. The marketing automation India wouldn’t be concluded without considering serial-entrepreneurs. Marketers have also embraced automation to simplify their tasks.

Challenges For Marketing Automation India

 challenges for marketing automation india

1. Budget Constraints & ROI Enigma

Most marketers connect low marketing budgets as one of the logic for the non-adoption of marketing automation resolutions. For some who take the leap of belief to use a marketing automation solution but only assess it in terms of Return on Investment (ROI) leave to see the value.

Another mistake that marketers could find to see the return on investment (ROI) reaching up, but sales dip. This could be a consequence of some simple causes and effects. As media expansion increase across channels, the reach has decreased for almost every channel and publisher. Growing costs coupled with declining reach drives up Cost-Per-Point (CPP), which means your original needs to be exponentially more efficient to deliver the same results. In most cases, even the greatest creative cannot compensate for the decline in efficiency.

2. First Think Content Strategy

The latest report suggests that the number of marketing tools competing a marketer’s attention raised by 40%  from the previous year. With so many marketing tools available, the choice to pick a marketing automation solution is usually driven by FOMO (fear-of-missing-out).

Outwardly a sharply defined content approach, the automation solution only stops up showing the incompetence in the marketing department. Content lies at the core of any marketing automation solution hence it is risky to guarantee that you have a documented strategy of content in status before you design your marketing technology.

3. Automation Detox

The industry as a complete wants some sort of detoxification for putting stand-alone applications like marketing automation suites. The difficulty lies in the mindset that marketing automation is expected to automate repeated tasks that destroy the very nature of what marketers do.

Improve Your Sale with Mailcot Email Marketing

Change your gear of selling product and services through Email Marketing. Email marketing also affords you with a lot of data that can be used to judge performance and make advances in open rates, click-through rates, spam complaints, unsubscribe rates, etc.

For example, let’s assume you just moved into a new residence and recognized that your bed doesn’t suit so you’ll need to acquire a new one. You go to a few various websites to do some analysis but are not quite ready to make a shopping. Then, the next day one of those sites sends you an email with a code for 25% off your first acquisition. All of an immediate, purchasing that Bed becomes a bit more affordable and the welcome email could then make you return the site and take action. But, without the welcome email and exclusive offer, you may not have gone back to make a shopping. The welcome email helped to generate a sale by keeping your furniture needs top of mind.

How to Boost Your Sale with Email Marketing

Know Your Audiences

The email messages that you send out to your subscribers need to be relevant to their interests. This can only happen when you know and understand your target audience well enough.

Every subscriber on your email list is different, which is why it would be a mistake to send them the same email message. Emails relevant to the recipient tend to drive 18 times more revenue when compared to general emails. So taking a targeted approach definitely makes a difference.

Personalizing the beginning with a simple, ‘Hi’ can help to engage the reader enough to get them to at least begin to read your offer.

Scrub Your Email List Regularly

When someone is adding his or her email address to your list it’s possible they make a mistake, provide a fake email altogether or they eventually change to a new email address. This can have a negative effect on your email delivery performance, as the emails can bounce, go directly into spam folders and even get you labelled as a spammer. Run your list through a scrubbing and verification service on a regular basis to make sure you are always working with an accurate list.

Short and Effective

Keeping your emails simple helps you get a better response from your campaign. The idea is to make your subscribers aware of the offer you have for them. It is not too hard to sell them but to give them a soft nudge. If they find your offer interesting enough, you will find them visiting your website to learn more about it. By keeping your emails short and to the point, you make it easy for people to take action.

Unique Subject Line

Avoid tricks. They may work once, but they erode trust and debase most brands. In fact, A/B testing your subject line is easy (just divide your list in two and track open rate, click through rate, and purchase/conversion rate on the landing page by subject line A vs B. All other parts of the emails are the same, just a different subject line.) This lets you use email to build your best version of sales scripting to use on your website, offline marketing collateral, and even in your live salesperson scripting.

One Clear Call-to-Action Per Email

“If you don’t have one clearly defined call-to-action, you are going to experience minimal results. Your subscribers don’t have time to read through long emails, trying to determine what you want them to do or what exactly your offer is. If your recipient doesn’t know what you want them to do within seconds of opening your email, whether that’s visiting a page, calling a phone number or completing a form, they will most likely delete your email,”.

Tips to Improve Your Email Marketing

  • Test and find your most effective email format(s). (E.g. Text vs HTML. Short vs long form. Etc.
  • Make your email mobile/small screen friendly.
  • Test your messages before you send them on multiple browsers and readers.
  • Have a second set of eyes review your email.
  • Make sure all key images are “clickable” and all videos have a “play” button.
  • If an email (or email campaign) was successful, re-use it.
  • Make your emails valuable.

How to Structure your Email Campaign to Retain Customers

Retention Email marketing is important. If you haven’t sat down to consider how to keep your customers happy and coming back for more, there’s no time like the present. And if you have, but you’re out of inspiration or lack strategic direction.

Here are some important ways to retain customers faster:

Segmentation is king

To craft an effective retention Email Marketing strategy, you must first understand your customers and how they behave. Forget for a moment their age and all the other demographic data you’ve stockpiled.

Instead, focus on how they interact with your products as they browse your store. They are essentially doing the work for you and segmenting themselves based on their actions. Recognize which of these behaviors is important and merits its own retention tactics.

Engage your customers with email

Aside from the fixed cost of whatever email Marketing service you’re using, emailing your customers is free, and you’ve already got their addresses, so put them to use. These are the email types (and corresponding best practices) you should weave into your retention strategy.

The welcome email

After submitting their email addresses, most online leads expect to receive a welcome email. In general, the goals of the welcome email are to:

  • Introduce the user to the company
  • Reiterate the value of the product/service
  • Establish a humanizing tone.

Note that it’s important to acknowledge that this is a welcome email within the subject line. This can be done simply by incorporating “Welcome” or “Hi” within the subject line. Examples include “Welcome to The Family” or “Hello From Company XYZ.”

The nurture email

Unlike other email types, the goal of nurture emails is not explicitly to sell, but rather to build your brand among your email subscribers. When users need to purchase a product your company sells, your brand will be the first one they turn to if nurture emails have done their job.

The promotional email

These should be an integral part of any email strategy, as they are an effective way to increase conversion.

Utilize a prominent CTA

Design the email so that the promotional offer is prominently displayed and stands out from any other text in the email. Position the promotional text so that it aligns with the CTA (call-to-action) button.

Create urgency

Create a sense of urgency around the promotional offer. Provide a countdown or mention that this offer is available for a limited time. Note: Overusing urgency will dilute its effectiveness.

Include a reason for the offer

Providing a reason for the offer, regardless of the reason, has been shown to improve conversion rates. Reasons can include celebrating a milestone or simply thanking your email subscribers for being part of your community.

Keep tabs on the competition

When developing your retention strategy, it’s useful to keep an eye on the emails your competitors are sending. I recommend that you:

  • Identify your competition.
  • Become a lead for the competitor by engaging in behaviors of interest (e.g., order complete and cart abandonment)
  • Set up a folder in your inbox to receive their emails
  • Wait.

Typically, one month of the collection will give you a clear sense of their retention strategy, though some long-tailed verticals may need more time.

After you’ve collected your competition’s emails, begin examining the strengths and weaknesses behind their retention strategy.

6 Best Tricks to Avoid Common Mistake in Write Email Marketing Subject Line.

Common Mistake in Write Email Marketing Subject Line.

You may have drafted the perfect email marketing. It may have the most appealing design. This is the most compelling copy and the most enticing call-to-action. But unless its recipients open it, all your efforts are in vain. The email marketing subject line is the only tool marketers can use to convince their subscribers to open their emails. Creating the perfect email marketing subject line, therefore, is of paramount importance. And since we’ve already covered that before.

Here are six common mistakes made while writing Email Marketing Subject Line that you should avoid:-

Write Email Marketing Subject Line

Using too many all exclamation points and caps.

Capitalising your all email marketing subject line gives the impression that you’re shouting at your email’s recipients. Subject lines like ‘BUY NOW AND SAVE 20% !!!!’ come across as spam and your recipients won’t bother opening it – which is the best case scenario. Do this repeatedly and your subscribers will mark your emails as spam in no time. The same goes for using too many punctuations, especially exclamation points. However, using an exclamation point or question mark once or twice in every 50 emails you send is proven to increase open rates by 10 to 20 percent.

Using more spam-trigger words.

To combat the barrage of irrelevant emails that people’s inboxes receive every day, email services have developed sophisticated filters that scan for particular trigger words. If these words are found in your subject lines, your otherwise legitimate email is marked as spam.

HubSpot has compiled an entire list of spam-trigger words out of which the most commonly used are ‘buy‘, ‘earn‘, ‘click here‘, and ‘subscribe‘.

Using more Clickbait subject lines.

Writing click-bait headlines may have helped the likes of BuzzFeed and ScoopWhoop acquire massive audiences, but that tactic is not going to help your email marketing efforts one bit. Writing subject lines like ‘this product is going to change your life!’ and ‘follow this link and win an AMAZING surprise!’ will surely see all your marketing emails end up in the trash or spam folder.

Misleading recipients.

If your email marketing subject line is something along the lines of ‘flat 50% discount for all our existing customers’ but the email copy solicits the recipients to sign up for a webinar to avail the offer, you’ve just annoyed a valuable customer and destroyed your credibility. Delivering what you promise every single time is essential for maintaining trustworthiness, which is something every brand needs to create an effective marketing strategy.

Using more Lengthy subject lines.

Your email marketing subject line has a second at most to convince recipients to open the email. Writing lengthy subject lines filled with unnecessary words is a sure way to get recipients to ignore your emails. Marketers should always follow the maxim of ‘keep it short and simple’ while drafting email subjects. It should convey all the important information, while generating curiosity, to the recipient in 50 words or less.

Avoid Grammatical errors.

Another point that warrants a mention is proper grammar and spelling. While it may seem blatantly obvious that an email’s subject line should be free of typos, quite a few of them aren’t. To make sure that your marketing emails don’t fall into that category, proofread your emails a few times before sending them out.

This rounds up the list of common mistakes you should avoid while writing the subject lines for marketing emails. If you can think of any other ones besides these, share them with us in the comments below.

How to Grow Your Email Marketing list with YouTube Ads?

If you’re looking to get a strong hold over the world of Email Marketing and Internet Marketing, you need to have an opt-in email database in place. A collection of email contact details of past clients, potential customers, devoted followers, or individuals who are simply interested in the products you have to offer is an asset to any business. This is a list of consumers you can market to directly about developments in your business. Now, you can generate more leads by properly optimizing YouTube video ads. Here’s how you can go about it.

Email Marketing List

Select The YouTube Video You Want to Promote

After posting and promoting the video of your choice on YouTube, visit the page that will help you launch your campaign and paste your video’s link into the video ad field provided.

Create Your Ad Around A Lead Generator

For any advertisement to work, your ad’s copy and imagery need to resonate with your viewers. In order to create your video ad, you need to fill in a headline and two lines of description. For most languages, the headline cannot exceed 100 characters and each description needs to fit within the limit of 35 characters.

Your headline should be concise and direct and should convey your goals. Explain the context of your video in the description. If your copy is precise and specific, you’ll generate a qualified lead. Your customer needs to be made aware of what you’re offering. After you pick the most relevant thumbnail, decide where your users will be directed when they click on your Ad. If you want users to sign up for your email database, your link should take them to your email sign-up page.

Finalise Your Budget

If you want to create a budget for your ad campaign, log on to the YouTube AdWords tool. To start off, go ahead with the budget that YouTube recommends. So that budget will be enough to test the campaign and track conversions after the first day. If you don’t get as many email sign-ups as you thought you would, you need to evaluate the relevancy of your messaging and thumbnails.

YouTube also suggests a maximum cost-per-view (CPV). Which is the highest amount you’re agreeing to pay for a viewer to watch your ad? Not many know that you pay that amount only if someone watches a minimum of 30 seconds of your video.

Choose Your Target Audience

You can easily target your preferred audience with the YouTube AdWords tool. Be very precise when you select your audience. Your ad will appear in YouTube videos, searches, and the Google Display Network unless you choose otherwise. You can also target your audience by gender, age, and interests. After so that Google and YouTube give your campaign the thumbs-up. You can track the campaign status in your Google AdWords dashboard after it goes live.

Generating new leads in this day and age of digital media is difficult, but YouTube offers a simple solution to help you find new customers. By also strategically focusing on the right audience and creating relevant ads, you too can grow your email list substantially.

6 Marketing Strategies to Improve Campaigns: Email Marketing Solutions

Want to improve the performance of your marketing campaigns? Here are six marketing strategies you can use to improve your marketing efforts across channels, messaging, and execution. Email Marketing Services

Improve campaigns with targeting.

Targeting your marketing efforts is like finding a collection of qualified leads for your campaign. Before you do any work – messaging, channel-development, etc. – you do some pre-work and resolve which market segment you want to reach.

A strategic way to think about targeting is to create marketing or “buyer” personas to describe these various groups of people. With each persona, determine the qualities of this subset. What do they like, and not like? Where do they hang out? What are their common challenges or trouble spots? You’re looking to describe the attributes of several sub-groups of your audience so you can more accurately aim your marketing at them.

Improve campaigns by tailoring.

A marketing strategy related to creating personas is tailoring campaigns. This can require both customizing your actual marketing campaign messaging, as well as researching the channels in which you send these messages. Make an appropriate variety for your audience.

For instance, in your research, you may discover one collection of your customers eschew print media; for them, you’ll want to develop digital-only campaign materials. Another group may prefer print ads only. You need to know this stuff before you spray a wide swath of marketing into the ether. You want to make sure it’s going to land correctly.

Leverage trigger marketing

If you can meet customers with your Marketing campaign at the absolute moment in the buyer’s journey – you’ll likely see more success. This is the concept of “right message at the right time.”

Trigger marketing– sending emails or campaigns (Trigger Marketing) at specific points in a customer’s engagement lifecycle – can significantly increase your chance of success. Email Marketing Services

To set up a Trigger Marketing campaign, you first need to identify the key points in your customer’s journey, such as discovery, enrollment, first purchase, and/or renewal. Then add additional layers and next steps. For example, after discovery, assuming you can know the customer looked for you and visited your website, you can send them a follow-up: “See anything you like? Come back and visit us.” Or, if you have an existing customer who’s just made a purchase, follow up 30 days later with a reminder. Email Marketing Services

Marketing automation can help with that (more on that in a moment), but as you can also see, a robust CRM system can be a beneficial tool in trigger marketing.

Measure your marketing strategy results – track success.

So, let’s say you’ve conceived, created, and launched your Marketing campaign. You’re up and running. Great!

How’s it going? Do you know?

To find out, you must keep tabs on your efforts and properly track them.

This might look like a simple chart (think Excel tables) or a fancier dashboard. Whatever the case, you need to be sure to record what you’re doing – pull the info out of databases and your head – to document it for the future and share with colleagues.

I advise you to limit the pool of info you’re tracking to the few key barometers – KPIs – that really tell the story of your campaign. Endless data is available these days, but make sure you’re keeping an eye on the right data and checking it over and over (apples to apples) regularly.

And write it down! Our memories wane. If you don’t track and document information, it’s like that conventional tree that falls in the forest … no one will know. (They can guess, but they won’t know for sure.) Email Marketing Services

Test to see how well your marketing campaign is performing.

Another key part of marketing is testing. Don’t forget to build tests into your campaign plans.

  • You require to measure what is working – and what isn’t.
  • Tests can be trying and tiring, but they’re also very precious. There are myriad things you can evaluate:
  • You can test what channel works best. You can test how your web pages are doing, or see how your emails are performing. You can test time of day you publish content – or day of the week.

Tactically, this can look like A/B testing, such as trying different headlines, page designs, or subject lines if an email is part of a campaign. It can also look like trying different or new channels or even targeting a new collection of potential customers.

Testing isn’t a one-and-done affair. Testing should be done continuously. Don’t rest too long on those laurels. Keep testing – and tracking – to be sure you know what’s working. Email Marketing Services

Toss what doesn’t work.

Once you’ve started testing and tracking, it’s time to take stock. Step back and assess: Is it working? If so, bravo and great job. Time to rinse and repeat. Email Marketing Services

But, if not, you need to be confident enough to toss it. It’s OK to ditch things that aren’t working and try something new. Remember, you can learn from failure almost as much as – if not more than – success.
